Mountain Biking Trips Accessible by Public Transit

BART Accessible Mountain Biking

1. Colma BART to Milagra Ridge

Take BART to the last stop on the San Francisco/Colma line. NOTE: during rush hour on weekdays, bikes are not allowed on BART through San Francisco. (7-9:30 a.m. and 4:30-6 p.m.)
Get off BART and head south on El Camino, following the map.
Milagra Ridge is a lovely undeveloped ridge which has several defined trails which can be combined into some exhilirating loops. Explore it for a while and you will be hooked on one of the SF area's best kept mtb secrets! At the bottom of the ridge, there's a decent restaurant/bar and the ocean is a short trip across hwy 1. Enjoy a coffee at the coffee shop on the corner of Esplanade Ave. and Manor Dr.

Bus Accessible Mountain Biking

1. Transbay bus V from S.F. to Dimond Canyon/Joaquin Miller Park Loop.

From the SF Transbay Terminal (Mission & 1st Street), buy a ticket, put your bike on the rack, and take the V bus (SF to Montclair). Get off the bus at the Park Blvd/Everett Ave. stop. Ride one block up Park Blvd and go right on El Centro Ave. down to the Dimond Park entrance. You can ride all the way up Dimond Park and into Jaquin Miller Park's fine legal singletrack.
