| We have checked out various establishments along
the San Francisco mountain biking routes. Here are some of our favorites.
John's Ocean Beach Cafe - 48th Ave. & Sloat (map)
Ride to John's for the best omelettes in San Francisco. The classic "John's
Omelette Ride" is a combination Golden
Gate Park Loop and Ft. Funston
Loop ride. Stop at John's on your way home along the ocean for an
omelette from heaven. John's ain't fancy and that's just how we mountain
bikers like it. We love this place & it is a true SF treasure; please
tip the waitstaff well!!
Park Chalet - Website - The Park Chalet is the perfect place to grab a beer and some grub after a Golden Gate park ride. Located
in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park where the Park meets the Pacific Ocean. Especially nice is "Taco Tuesdays" with cheap tacos and $2 drafts.
Louis' - 902 Point Lobos Ave. (map)
Make Louis' a part of your Land's End
Loop ride. You can east some classic diner food while enjoying a full
180 degree view of the ocean and the incredible ruins of the Sutro Baths.
The only downside is the lack of bicycle parking outside the restaurant.
If you eat there, tell them that you and other bikers would visit more
often if there was a bike rack!
