The San Francisco Bike Plan
Update: The first 20 bike plan projects have been announced. (see below)
Background
In 2003, the City of San Francisco's official Bike Plan was updated, which was a collaborative effort to expand and refine the existing citywide bicycle network. The update will help create better links connecting neighborhood and major destinations via streets (and trails) that are designed to be safe and convenient for all users. The SF Bike Plan Update is a joint project of the Department of Parking and Traffic, the SF County Transportation Authority and the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition.
